You don't have to leave the country
Metal and a house can sit. The listed sleeve is what you can sell this week.
You can stay in the United States, skip the foreign bank, and still hold less of your surplus in idle dollars. You need a reserve you can spend, and a listed sleeve you can close, so a bad quarter never forces the sale of a house or a bar of metal.
A personal sketch
This is an illustration for a household that stays here. This platform runs the listed stocks and crypto. Metal and property stay on your own balance sheet.
- About 20% in gold, and possibly other metals.
- About 20–30% in productive real estate, where the rent can reset.
- The remainder in listed stocks and crypto, run on this platform.
- Treasury bills sized to several months of spending, so living expenses come out of the float.
Gold and silver preserve purchasing power against the dollar and pay nothing. A rental can fund a life, and it takes a tenant, a broker, and a closing to turn into cash. In a season when prices gap, the bills and the listed sleeve are what you spend and redirect. The house and the metal stay put.
The match stays
An employer retirement match is compensation. Take it. Most plan menus offer stock and bond funds. A deed and a box of coins sit outside that menu. Some brokerage windows and IRAs can hold a metal fund, and that fund still follows the plan's rules. Metals, property, and this platform are a decision about the capital outside the plan.
The five sleeves on this platform are the last note in this series.
